Windows based CheckList

1. Check List for Windows based applications
2. Check Analec logo on every page.
3. Check the tab sequence on every page.
4. Check the tab sequence on all the pop up screens.
5. Spellings & grammatical mistakes on all pages.
6. Spellings & grammatical mistakes on pop up windows.
7. Tabbing to an entry field with text in it should highlight the entire text in the field.
8. If a field is disabled (grayed) then it should not get focus. It should not be possible to select them with either the mouse or by using TAB
9. Tab to each button - Press SPACE - This should activate
10. Tab to each button - Press RETURN - This should activate
11. All pop up messages should be centrally aligned on the page.
12. Use special characters ‘`’, ‘>’, ‘~’, ‘<’ as input in all text box’s.
13. For each input to the system identify invalid values.
14. Check for duplicate values for all inputs.
15. Test with default values of the system.
16. Range testing for all text boxes.
17. Check the application with different screen resolutions.
18. Drop downs should show the complete names of all items in it or there should be a tool tip if the names are too long for the drop down.
19. Download file window should have the correct file extension and size of the file that is being downloaded.
20. If no results found cursor should go back to the search box.
21. All drop downs should start with ‘Please select’ or blank text.
22. Pressing the Arrow on a drop down should give list of options. This List may be scrollable. You should not be able to type text in the box.
23. Items should be in alphabetical order with the exception of blank/none which is at the top or the bottom of the list box.
24. List box should allow a single selection to be chosen, by clicking with the mouse, or using the Up and Down Arrow keys.
25. Check the confirmation message before closing the application through close button on the top right hand side, top left hand side on the blue bar, right click on task bar & close option and ‘Alt f4’ through keyboard.
26. Check for pop up messages before deleting any item from the list
27. Check size for dialogue boxes and alert windows. It should be as per the message on it.
28. Check for the alignment of labels, buttons and text boxes of the application.
29. Check all links on all pages.
30. Check for update conditions and related effects on the system.
31. Are there explicit date conditions? Current date, future date, invalid dates, range dates, expiry dates.
32. What can cause corrupt inputs and how does system respond?
